School competitions
In our school, there are a few competitions, such as History, Art, Math, English, PE, and other competitions. History competition is held just for the 7th and 8th grades. Math competition is at the school level, and after that at the county level. The hardest one is at the state level. This year there were just two students who placed at the county level. Marko Bačić and Magdalena Šimunđa. Marko was the best student in our whole school. He had 44 out of 50 points. Everyone was so impressed. After the county level competition, I asked them some questions.
I asked them what the test was like and if it was difficult. Of course, both said that the test was hard, and they were very nervous. Marko also said that he thinks he did well on the test, but he does not know how many points he got. He does not know if he is qualified yet because the results are still not out, but we keep our fingers crossed for both of them.
Students in our school are good at other things, too, such as swimming or running. We placed second in men swimming and fourth in women swimming. There was also a running competition and we placed second. After that, a bit of a situation happened. The judges had said that the second place is going to the finals. A week later they found out that just the first placed were going to the finals and they were devastated.
