As part of the "Science School" project, chemistry and biology teacher Nina Stričević together with assistant professor Lea Kukoč Modun, mag.ing.chem.Maja Biočić, and mag.chem. Azra Duković from the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology in Split, demonstrated the way in which the distillation process and the production of essential oils are being conducted to the seventh and eighth grade students.

Communicate via Mail (AAIEdu Hr)

Communicate and collaborate on the social network (CARNET network)

The project started in November, 2017.

Phases and results in this first cycle are:

Enjoy Split

We are a part of the eTwinning project Entrepreneurship in education.    Our first task was to make a video about our city and its cultural attractions.

We decided to present the Diocletian's Palace as the symbol of our city.

The video was made by students from 6.a class:

Lara Kondić, Maja Vukičević, Lara Bakarić, Hana Damjanović, Laura Malenica, Lana Keč, Klara Steffen Zanchi, Leonora Oluić and Petra Malenica.

With the help of their teachers: Antonia Drlje, Katarina Sablić, Jelena Čizmić and school's pedagogue Fadila Zoranić.

How to make soap?

Teacher Nina Stričević and Assistant professor Lea Kukoč Modun from the Faculty of Chemistry and  Technology  in Split organized a Soap-making  Workshop for seventh and eight grade pupils  through additional chemistry classes. Pupils learned about the composition of soaps, ingredients and  their effect.  And the practical part of the worshop was to make their own soap. Everyone had a great time and  lot of fun  making  soaps of different colors and shapes. They especially enjoyed the beautiful scents of lavender, rosemary, cinnamon and orange that  spread throughout the school.
