An audio picture-book in English
Class teacher Nataša Lovrić and English teacher Milena Kaćunić together with the students from 3.a grade designed an interesting interpretation of the "Little Red Riding Hood" fairytale in English.
Librarian Jelena Madunić helped them to combine the images and sound to a new audio file format that you can play and listen to on the following link:

The students had the opportunity to see how the sound background was built, and they wanted to design their own story in the digital format next year.
A VISIT TO THE HRT STUDIO
On 27 March 2019 students from 6th, 7th and 8th grade visited HRT radio and television studio. First we learned how information gets on TV or on radio. After that we visited the editing studio and recording studio. After learning how to edit sound and videos, we attended a live radio show! We also went through all of the studios where they record TV programmes and we saw how people work hard and successfuly air live shows.
In conclusion, we were very satisfied with this visit and we hope to do it again.
Quest in the library
On February 21st in our school library teacher Filka Žilić and school librarian, Jelena Madunić organized fun activities for students from 8.b and 8.c. All that was for celebrating the month of Croatian language. They had to find QR codes which were hidden in the library. With QR codes they learned something about the history and culture of our language.
Reading to the young ones
Students from classes 7.b Petra, Bruna and Ivona and 8.b Ana, Lana i Lara read books to 1. and 2. graders. They read ˝Mačke naopačke˝ by Igor Čumandra. After listening, the students from 1. grade made funny picture books. You can check them out if you click on the class:

2nd grade students listened to ˝Crvena bojica˝ by Nada Iveljić and after that, they had a quiz made in a web tool Wordwall.
Don´t forget reading aloud is very important in developing reading habits and it is connected to success in school.

Glagolitic script in the month of the book
Inspired by Glagolitic script month, students from 2.a and 2.b learned how to write their names, and students from 3.a made posters about Glagolitic script and decorated our library.
THE PATH OF THE BOOK AND THE PATH OF THE RELIGION
In the last week of the month of Croatian book, all 5th graders participated in a project called ˝Lanci za knjige˝. Students enjoyed the animated presentation and through it, they learned something about history and unbreakable bond between religion and life.
National quiz for encouraging reading in organisation of Zagreb City Libraries

All three books from the list for this year's quiz are connected with the theme of written heritage, which is the moto of this year's Book Month.
After having read the books, girls discussed about the themes of the books with our librarian Jelena Madunić and on Thursday, October 25th they did the quiz.
