Daisy vs. Bully
One day Daisy was playing with her friends during recess, and then a boy came along and started bullying the girls. His name was Ivan. They all just ignored it at first, but he came back the next day and made fun of the girls again! He started doing that daily, it started to bother the girls.
One day Daisy came home crying, her mom asked her what was wrong and Daisy told her that a boy at school made fun of her dress that her grandma had been making for weeks. Her mom told her to talk to a teacher about it. The next day Daisy told her teacher Mrs Puffs about it, she said that she thinks Daisy should try to stand up for herself and if that doesn't work she will talk to Ivan.
So, Daisy stood up for herself at recess but it didn't work. Ivan just made fun of her even more!
The next day Mrs. Puffs had a talk with him, it turned out that he had some problems at home. Ivan and the teacher made a deal, he had to apologize to Daisy and rest of the girls so Mrs.Puffs wouldn't mention this inccident to anyone. The next day Ivan came and apologized to the girls, especially Daisy, but she didn't want to forgive him. Later that afternoon both Daisy and Ivan were called to Mrs. Puffs classroom to talk. Mrs. Puffs explained Ivan's situation at home and told them a very inspiring quote ''I have decided to stick to love, hate is to great a burden to bear.''
Daisy decided to forgive Ivan and they actually became very good friends. If there is someone who bullies you always talk to someone about it,and when the things get better never forget the quote ''I have decided to stick to love, hate is too great a burden to bear'.''

My Christmas Story
Santa's Accident
Hello, I'm an elf, Santa's helper. I will tell you a story about Santa and his Christmas accident. But, before we start, just one thing – I'm not a good storyteller, but I' ll do my best.
It is a week before Christmas. We have so much work to do. On the Christmas Eve, Santa's sleigh is ready and off he goes – WOOSH! He drives to London. He is driving the whole night. In one moment sleigh turns and Santa finds himself lying in the street. He tries to turn on his magic phone, but it is broken. Santa is really sad because he knows that kids are waiting for him to bring presents. He decides to sit and rest for a while, but he falls asleep.
While he is sleeping, some kids pass by his sleigh and wake him up. In tears, Santa tells them about his accident and that kids won't get their presents because his sleigh is broken. Kids decide to help him – they jump on their bikes and start riding around the town to deliver presents for everyone.
Christmas is not ruined, it is saved by the group of helpful kids and Santa. Ho, ho, ho! You see, we don't need magic to make a miracle, we just have to work together and put real effort into it.
Happy Christmas everyone !!!

OLIVER TWIST
FILM REVIEW
In the world there are a lot of poor children who need help. Poverty is often hidden from us directly, but we can see a lot of it on TV, Internet and in films that deal with social issues.
A few days ago I was given a chance to watch such a film. It is about a boy named Oliver Twist. The plot of the film takes place in London in the 19th century. Although the film shows us another historical period, the topic of poverty, it presents, is something we can relate to nowadays.
It is especially heart-breaking to see suffering children who don't have even basic living conditions. That is why today we have different organizations, civil associations and special events that take care about children's well-being, and raise people's awareness on the topic of poverty.
Special laws were adopted to protect children against all sorts of adversities such as Law on Child Abuse Prevention. A very important event that is celebrated all over the world is Children's Day. It is celebrated on different dates in different countries and in Croatia it takes place on the 20th of November.
Personally, I've never come across extreme poverty and when I see films that have strong scenes showing hungry children such a life is an everyday reality. In my opinion we can do a lot just by being aware of this problem. I think that we should be thankful for everything we have.
